Meteora (MET), the Solana liquidity protocol's token, closed at $0.4226 in early October 2026 after its biggest one-day jump since launch. Our Meteora price prediction puts the base case at $0.294-$0.450 for 2026 and $0.254-$0.552 by 2030, a lower floor set by team and reserve tokens that vest until October 2031.
The vesting calendar drives this forecast. Meteora's docs release 520 million MET, more than half the supply, to the team and a reserve over 72 months. Released in equal steps, that's 7.22 million MET a month, about $3.05 million at the early-October close. The twelfth step falls due on 23 October 2026, two days after the Season 2 airdrop claim window shuts.

What Is Meteora Crypto?
Meteora is a Solana liquidity protocol whose DLMM (Dynamic Liquidity Market Maker) and DAMM v2 pools pay liquidity providers the bulk of swap fees, and MET is its token, launched on 23 October 2025. The protocol takes 10% to 20% of the trading fee in most pools as its own share, collected in the tokens being swapped, and our guide to what a liquidity pool is covers the basics.
Where Is the MET Price After the Early-October Jump?
MET closed at $0.4226 on CMC in early October 2026, 23.42% below its record close of $0.5518 on launch day and 67.97% above its last close of 2025. CoinGecko's close for the same day was $0.4225.
The move that set that level came earlier in the month. In a single day MET rose 37.37%, from $0.3275 to $0.4499, its biggest one-day gain on CMC's daily closes since trading began. Volume reached $196.4 million, 3.43 times the day before and 5.97 times the average of the previous 30 days.
The day before, MET had already gained 10.63%. It touched $0.5429 intraday on the following day, and none of the three closes that followed matched the jump-day close.
Meteora's Medium blog has no post on the jump, and its newest post is dated 20 July 2026.
The jump was MET's own. On the same day RAY gained 12.71% on Phemex spot and JUP 2.05% on its Phemex perpetual, while SOL fell 3.70% and BTC lost 2.61%. Jito's JTO and the PUMP perpetual barely moved, at +0.26% and +0.92%.
The wider Solana trading tokens did rally together from June. Measured from MET's lowest close on 10 June 2026 to the early-October close, RAY gained 320.8% and PUMP 300.6% on Phemex. JUP rose 143.8% and SOL 74.17% over the same closes, against 333.5% for MET, and Phemex Academy's Jupiter vs Raydium comparison looks at two of those tokens side by side.
Is Meteora Legit Crypto?
Meteora is a working Solana protocol, and a US lawsuit that named it ended in its favor in September 2026. On 29 September 2026 the US District Court for the Southern District of New York granted the motion to dismiss every claim against Meteora in case No. 25-cv-03891. The clerk's judgment followed on 30 September, dismissing the amended complaint with prejudice and closing the case.
The tape gives the ruling no credit for the rally. MET closed 1.32% lower on the day of the order and fell 2.77% and 4.92% on the next two days, well before the jump began.
MET's mint address is METvsvVRapdj9cFLzq4Tr43xK4tAjQfwX76z3n6mWQL. It shows no mint authority and no freeze authority on-chain, so no one can create MET beyond the 997.7 million that exist or freeze a holder's balance.
Meteora's documentation also publishes DLMM audit reports from four security firms, OtterSec and Sherlock among them. An audit reviews one version of the code at one point in time, and it says nothing about where MET trades.
Meteora Token Supply and Tokenomics: What the Vesting Calendar Adds
Any Meteora token price prediction has to start with the calendar. Meteora's tokenomics page sets a 1 billion supply with 480 million MET, 48%, circulating at launch. The team's 18% and the Meteora Reserve's 34% carry a one-month cliff and vest over 72 months, from a first unlock on 23 November 2025 to the last on 23 October 2031.
If those tokens release in equal monthly steps, MET's float grows by 86.67 million a year, 15.55% of the float the docs imply.
Method: 480 million at launch, minus the team's burn of 2.26 million in October 2025, plus 11 monthly steps of 7.22 million gives a float of 557.2 million. CoinGecko's circulating count stands 0.16% above that figure and CMC's 0.99% below it.
The chain backs that pace on the reserve side. Its vault holds 288.06 million MET, exactly 340 million minus 11 monthly steps of 4.72 million.
The team vault holds 140 million after 40 million left it. Five monthly transfers of 2.5 million ran through March 2026, and a single 27.5 million transfer went to the Operations wallet named in the docs in May 2026. That's 12.5 million more than eleven equal steps would release, and a transfer out of a vault isn't a sale.
Holding the early-October market value constant, the price falls as the float grows. At equal steps the float reaches 925.5 million by the end of 2030, 66.11% above the docs-implied figure, and the same market value would then price MET at $0.2544. We call that the supply-adjusted value.

MET Technical Analysis
Every reading below comes from CMC daily closes up to the early-October close, using a 14-day Wilder RSI and a 12-26-9 MACD.
Support and Resistance
The first support you'd watch is $0.3810, the late-September high close of 27 September 2026, followed by the early-October low close of $0.2942 and then the 50-day average. Overhead, the early-October high close of $0.4499 comes first, then the $0.5429 intraday high of the next day and the $0.5518 record close. Above those, the highest price both CMC and CoinGecko show is $0.6869, printed on launch day.
The 50-Day and 200-Day Averages
MET's 50-day average crossed above its 200-day on 13 August 2026, and that golden cross held through the early-October close. By the early-October close the 50-day stood at $0.2665, 48.57% above the 200-day at $0.1794, while the close itself ran 135.6% above the 200-day. Phemex Academy explains how a golden cross and death cross differ.
RSI and MACD
The 14-day RSI read 66.96 at the early-October close, under the 70 line most traders treat as overbought. MACD crossed above its signal line on the day of the jump and finished at 0.0409 against 0.0327, with the gap widening on each of the three closes that followed.

The bear case runs from the 200-day average to the early-October low close, and the base case from that low to the early-October high close. The bull case stops at the $0.5518 record close from launch day.
The base case is our call. If the unlocks run in equal steps, the supply-adjusted value for the end of December is $0.4068, inside the base. A daily close under $0.2942 would hand the rest of the year to the bear case. A close above $0.4499 would open the bull case. Neither had happened by the early-October close.
MET Price Prediction 2027
Our MET crypto price prediction for 2027 puts the base case at $0.354-$0.450, from the end-2027 supply-adjusted value of $0.3538 to the early-October high close. The bear case runs $0.0975-$0.354, down to MET's lowest close of 10 June 2026, and the bull case $0.450-$0.552.
By the end of 2027 equal steps would have released 26 of the 72 monthly tranches, which is why the base starts at the supply-adjusted value and not at a chart level.
MET Price Prediction 2028
In 2028 the base case widens to $0.179-$0.552, from the 200-day average to the record close. The bear case runs $0.0975-$0.179 and the bull case $0.552-$0.687, which tops out at the $0.6869 launch-day high that CoinGecko lists as MET's all-time high.
That's the ceiling because MET has traded through only one cycle since its October 2025 launch, so its own series offers no multiple to stretch a record. A move past $0.6869 would be price discovery, and no figure in the data can measure how far it runs.
Meteora Price Prediction 2030
For 2030 the base case is $0.254-$0.552, from the end-2030 supply-adjusted value of $0.2544 to the record close. The bear case is $0.0975-$0.254 and the bull case $0.552-$0.687. By then equal steps would have released 62 of the 72 tranches, leaving ten for 2031.
For 2029 the base case runs $0.281-$0.552, from the end-2029 supply-adjusted value of $0.2807 to the record close.

What About 2035 and 2040?
We don't stretch this Meteora coin price prediction to 2035 or 2040, because MET's daily closes cover less than a year. The table gives the yearly growth a round target needs from the early-October close of $0.4226.

Supply makes $1 harder than the multiple suggests. With all 997.7 million tokens counted, $1 is a market value of about $997.7 million, 4.28 times CMC's early-October figure of $233.1 million.
What Could Drive MET Higher or Lower?
-
Fees. DefiLlama counts $58.61 million of Meteora fees in the 30 days to early October 2026, up 105.4% on the 30 days before, while DEX volume rose 10.7% to $6.505 billion. Fees per dollar traded rose from 0.49% to 0.90%. Protocol revenue climbed 110.5% to $6.726 million, and the docs say Meteora collects it in pool tokens with no buyback described.
-
The Season 2 claim deadline. The MET airdrop terms close the claim window on 21 October 2026, and unclaimed MET is then "dealt with by the Company at its sole and absolute discretion". The terms don't say if those tokens go back to a reserve or reach the market.
-
The monthly unlocks. The twelfth unlock falls due on 23 October 2026, two days after the claim window shuts, and the steps keep coming every month until October 2031. Fee growth that outpaces the new float is what would let the market absorb each tranche without a lower price.
What Are the Risks of Investing in MET?
-
Supply growth. At an even pace the float grows 66.11% by the end of 2030, so if you hold MET, its market value needs to rise by about two-thirds just to keep the early-October price.
-
Thin on-chain liquidity. In early October 2026 the deepest MET pool GeckoTerminal tracks held about $3.4 million, against $130.7 million of volume CMC recorded for the early-October close. If you trade size on-chain, a large order can move MET much further than that volume figure suggests.
-
A record of deep drawdowns. MET fell 82.34% in under eight months, from its $0.5518 launch-day record close to a $0.0975 low close on 10 June 2026.
How to Trade Meteora
Phemex has no MET market, so you can't trade the token here. Its MET perpetual and MET spot pair are both delisted, and Phemex Academy explains what happens when a coin is delisted.
-
Track MET's daily close against the levels above, starting with the early-October low close of $0.2942 that splits the base and bear cases.
-
Mark 21 October and 23 October 2026 on your calendar, the claim deadline and the twelfth monthly unlock.
-
Check Meteora's fees each month, because revenue that keeps rising is the case for absorbing the new supply.
-
Use Phemex futures for the crypto majors that set the market's direction around MET, SOL among them.
Futures use leverage, and a leveraged position is closed automatically if losses reach its margin.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is MET crypto?
MET is the token of Meteora, the Solana liquidity protocol behind the DLMM and DAMM v2 pools. It launched on 23 October 2025 with a 1 billion supply. MetLife's stock also trades as MET on the NYSE, and the two are unrelated.
How do you buy Meteora tokens?
MET is a Solana SPL token, so buyers swap SOL or USDC for it on-chain from a Solana wallet. Checking the mint address METvsvVRapdj9cFLzq4Tr43xK4tAjQfwX76z3n6mWQL before confirming guards against copies. Phemex doesn't list MET.
What is the Meteora price prediction for 2026?
Our 2026 base case is $0.294-$0.450, between MET's early-October low close and its early-October high close on CMC. The bear case is $0.179-$0.294 and the bull case $0.450-$0.552, which tops out at the launch-day record close.
What is the Meteora price prediction for 2030?
Our 2030 base case is $0.254-$0.552. Its floor is the price that holds the early-October market value if team and reserve MET vest in equal steps to a 925.5 million float by the end of 2030, and its top is the record close.
Is MET bullish or bearish?
MET's daily closes read as bullish on all three trend measures used here. Its 50-day average has held above the 200-day since the golden cross of 13 August 2026, the 14-day RSI stood at 66.96 at the early-October close and MACD stayed above its signal line.
Bottom Line
MET's price has to outrun its own supply. If the vesting runs evenly, the token needs a market value two-thirds larger by the end of 2030 just to stand still, and the doubling in fees is the one number here that keeps pace with that. We'd hold the base case while daily closes stay above $0.2942, and we'd want fee growth to confirm any close above $0.4499 before trusting it.
