What Is Agent Cat (AGENTCAT)? Solana Memecoin Launch Explained

Key Points

Discover what Agent Cat (AGENTCAT) is, how 91% was bought at launch, its tokenomics, risks, and trading tips. Learn how to protect your assets—explore more!

Agent Cat (AGENTCAT) is a Solana memecoin from pump.fun, and five wallets funded by one address bought 91.01% of its supply in its launch block on 3 October 2026. It ranked first on CoinGecko's search-driven trending list at 13:27 UTC on 5 October. The "AI agent" in its pitch is a cat mascot with no product behind it.

Converted at Phemex's SOL/USDT futures close, its pool price ended 4 October at $0.01495505, 33.81 times the close of its partial first day. GeckoTerminal logged $3.73 million of volume that day, 9.84 times the $379,511 the pool held at the close. At 11:29 UTC on 5 October, each of the 19 largest holders after the pool was a wallet whose first transaction that same address paid for.

What Is Agent Cat (AGENTCAT)?

Agent Cat is a memecoin created through pump.fun at 22:52 UTC on 3 October 2026, built on Token-2022, the newer of Solana's two token programs.

Read at 13:27 UTC on 5 October, the project's website calls the cat "Your purrsonal AI agent" and signs off in its footer with "A Solana memecoin." The footer line is the accurate one. In crypto, AI agents are automated programs built to carry out specific tasks, and our explainer on what AI agents are in crypto covers the projects building them. Agent Cat's site links no agent or app, so the AI part of this crypto token is the branding. CoinGecko's listing showed no code repository for it at our 13:27 UTC read.

Agent Cat ranked first of the 15 coins on CoinGecko's search-driven trending list at 11:25 UTC on 5 October, and it held first place at our 13:27 UTC read. That list is built from what CoinGecko's users search for, so it measures curiosity and tells you nothing about who is buying.

On the 992,639,024 tokens the chain reported at 13:26 UTC on 5 October, the 4 October close values Agent Cat at $14.84 million. GeckoTerminal logged $3,732,783 of volume on its 4 October bar, while the pool held $379,511 at the close, counting its 1,562.03 SOL twice at Phemex's $121.48 SOL close. That's 9.84 times the pool's depth in one day, and our explainer on what a liquidity pool is shows why depth sets the price you get.

Some of the attention was bought. DexScreener showed 500 active boosts on the pool at 11:26 UTC and again at 13:27 UTC on 5 October, and boosts are paid promotion that raises a token's visibility on DexScreener.

How Does Agent Cat Work?

Agent Cat runs on pump.fun's standard launch path. A creator mints 1 billion tokens into a bonding curve, an automatic seller whose price rises with each buy. Once buyers take 793.1 million tokens the curve is complete, and its remaining tokens and SOL move into a PumpSwap pool where anyone can trade.

For Agent Cat that whole path ran inside one Solana block at 22:52 UTC on 3 October. The creation transaction minted the billion tokens and carried the creator's own buy of 34,199,203. The next transaction bought out the rest of the curve, and the one after it opened the pool with 206,900,000 AGENTCAT and 67.41 SOL.

The mint's only two Token-2022 extensions store the name and the image, so it carries no transfer fee or transfer hook. The site says AGENTCAT "thinks in public and trades in the open on Solana", yet the token holds no trading logic, and the site names no founder or developer.

Agent Cat Tokenomics

Agent Cat tokenomics start with three switches, and all three are off. A read of the mint through public Solana RPC endpoints at 13:26 UTC on 5 October returned no mint authority, so no wallet can create new AGENTCAT. It returned no freeze authority either, so no wallet can lock a holder's balance, and the empty metadata authority fixes the name and image for good.

The supply read 992,639,024.108438 AGENTCAT at that moment, after burns removed 7,360,975.89 tokens from the original billion. CoinGecko's listing at 13:27 UTC still showed 1,000,000,000 circulating. There's no team allocation or vesting schedule, because a pump.fun launch sells the whole supply through the curve and the pool.

The liquidity can't be pulled either. PumpSwap issues LP tokens as the claim on a pool's deposits, and the LP mint for Agent Cat's pool showed a supply of 0 at 13:26 UTC on 5 October, so no wallet holds a claim it could redeem for the pool's SOL. That shuts the drained-pool route in our guide to what a rug pull is and how to avoid one. The other route in that guide, a sell-off of concentrated holdings, depends on who holds the supply.

Who held the supply at launch is the finding. Three blocks before the creation, address 98YDfUMbZ91Mk9PfHCyBLG6t5Gh1TWQvNUygUQV8gCtU sent 201.60 SOL to five wallets in five transfers, one of them the transfer that funded the creator's wallet. In the creation block those five wallets took 910.1 million AGENTCAT, or 91.01% of the billion minted. Beyond the creator's 34,199,203, one buy of 758,900,797 emptied the curve, and two more took 89,484,960 and 27,516,184 from the new pool. The five transactions ran consecutively, 264th to 268th of the block's 1,242, so no outside buyer got a trade in between. None of the five wallets held any AGENTCAT at our 13:26 UTC read on 5 October.

The same address turns up behind the largest holders. In a read of the chain at 11:29 UTC on 5 October, the 19 largest token accounts after the pool's own vault each held 0.237% to 0.241% of supply, 45,206,341 AGENTCAT or 4.554% together. That address paid for the first transaction of every one of those 19 wallets, between 22:57 and 23:10 UTC on 3 October, and 13 of those payments landed inside three seconds.

A read at 13:26 UTC found 14 of the 19 places held by wallets missing from the 11:29 list, and that address had paid for the first transaction of all 19. Across our three reads between 11:29 and 13:26 UTC, 40 different wallets filled those places, so with the launch five at least 45 wallets trace their first transaction to it.

Method: we read the token, its pool and each holder's first transaction through public Solana RPC endpoints between 11:29 and 13:27 UTC on 5 October. Each close is the pool price after the last swap before 00:00 UTC, converted at the daily close of Phemex's SOL/USDT futures contract.

How to Buy Agent Cat Safely

Phemex lists no Agent Cat market. Its public product list held 177 listed spot pairs and 141 listed futures contracts at 13:27 UTC on 5 October, and none of them tracked AGENTCAT. The AGENT / USDT spot pair in that list belongs to AgentLayer, a different project, and shows as delisted.

Buying the Agent Cat token on Solana takes a Solana wallet holding SOL and a swap on PumpSwap, the route the project's own site lays out in four steps.

Before you sign, copy the mint address from the project's site or the pump.fun coin page and never from a search result. Trade only the one pool on that mint. DexScreener's AGENTCAT/SOL pair page showed $547,443 of liquidity at 13:27 UTC on 5 October, and DexScreener listed no second pair on the mint. A $10,000 order equals 1.8% of the pool's total value, so set a slippage limit before you confirm.

Our guide on how to audit new crypto contracts for liquidity locks adds the check that matters most for this token, holder concentration.

Which AGENTCAT Contract Is the Real One?

The real Agent Cat token is CZJfrAmMs5Cz4H22PWzfqTJu5FkP7Q2Vvx1oPVL9pump, the mint the project's site prints and the one CoinGecko maps to its Agent Cat listing. Six DexScreener searches at 13:27 UTC on 5 October returned 47 other tokens using the name, 26 of them on Solana. Each search stops at 30 results, so the true count runs higher. One Ethereum copy showed $4.19 million of liquidity, more than seven times the real pool's, and a copy's numbers prove nothing about the token you want. We link none of them.

What Are the Risks of Agent Cat?

One Funder Behind the Largest Wallets

The 19 wallets on the 11:29 UTC list held 4.27 times the pool's own AGENTCAT reserve of 10,584,926 tokens. On the pool's constant-product formula before fees, selling all of it at once would leave the price at 3.60% of its level, a 96.4% drop. On the 13:26 UTC list the multiple was 4.71 times, and the same sale would cut the price 96.9%.

Those Balances Moved Between Our Reads

Between 11:29 and 13:26 UTC on 5 October, the 19 token accounts on the first list went from 45,206,341 to 41,256,257 AGENTCAT combined. The chain records amounts and the address that paid for each wallet, never who controls the keys or what they intend.

One Pool Is the Only Exit

DexScreener's 13:27 UTC read showed a single pool on the mint, so every seller on Solana leaves through the same 2,258.24 SOL. A large sale by any holder lands on every other holder at once.

Clean Code Covers the Code Only

Revoked authorities and a burned LP take away the developer's levers, and they leave the supply where the launch put it. Our piece on why an ownerless token can still fail makes the same case for Thinking Cat on Robinhood Chain.

Is Agent Cat a Good Investment?

Agent Cat is a bet on attention. The AGENTCAT coin gives holders no claim on revenue, assets or votes, so its price holds only while new buyers keep arriving.

For it to become more than a trade, the supply would need to spread beyond wallets that trace to one funder, and new liquidity would need to come from outside that group. The 5 October reads point the other way, with the top of the holder list made up of wallets that address set up within 18 minutes of launch.

It suits you if you want a small, short position in a contract with no live switches and you can accept a single exit. It doesn't suit you if you read CoinGecko's top trending spot as demand, because that list counts searches.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Agent Cat legit?

The token is real and trades freely, and GeckoTerminal counted 13,484 holders in an update at 12:40 UTC on 5 October. What the contract can't tell you is who controls the wallets at the top of the holder list.

Who created Agent Cat?

The website names no founder or developer, so the creator is pseudonymous. The project's public channel is the X account @AgentCat_Sol, which the site links in its Join Us section.

What was the Agent Cat price on 4 October 2026?

The pool closed 4 October at 0.00012311 SOL per token, or $0.01495505 at Phemex's $121.48 SOL close. GeckoTerminal's day bars closed at $0.01515211 on 4 October and $0.00047354 on 3 October, a 32.00-times move against our 33.81.

Is Agent Cat an AI agent?

Agent Cat is a memecoin with an AI-agent theme and no agent software behind it. CoinGecko's listing, read at 13:27 UTC on 5 October, files it under Meme and Cat-Themed with no AI category.

Final Thoughts

The checks a careful buyer runs on a new Solana token all come back clean for Agent Cat, and that's why they're the wrong test here. The figure that decides an AGENTCAT holder's exit is the combined balance of the wallets that trace to one address, because on 5 October the pool held less than a quarter of it.
