Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin has stated that a 51% attack on Ethereum by Binance would be unsuccessful, as it would incur billions in costs due to slashing. Speaking in an interview in Bangkok, Buterin emphasized that the current $48 billion security is excessive. He suggested that reducing this amount while enhancing peer-to-peer and social layers would increase Ethereum's security.
