Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has proposed that local deployment of large models should adhere to standardized memory and VRAM configurations, with 96GB as a feasible upper limit. Buterin highlighted that the RTX 6000 graphics card offers 96GB of VRAM, while high-end MacBooks and some AMD laptops feature a unified 128GB of RAM, with 32GB reserved for other tasks. He suggested standardizing capacity tiers at 2GB, 8GB, 24GB, 96GB, 256GB, and 1TB to enhance hardware and model design compatibility, thereby improving deployment efficiency.
