A total of 3,790 dormant bitcoins were activated during the first half of September, with the coins originating from wallets dated between 2010 and 2017. Among them, 113 BTC from an address untouched since a 2013 deposit are now worth approximately $8.8 million. The largest single transaction moved 1,260 BTC from a wallet dating to 2016 on September 6. Weekend activity accounted for 62% of dormant bitcoin spending during the month.
