ZKsync has announced plans to decommission its zero-knowledge rollup network, ZKsync Lite, originally launched in 2020, by 2026. The company stated that this move will not affect its other systems. A detailed timeline and migration guide will be released next year. ZKsync Lite, formerly known as ZKsync 1.0, has fulfilled its initial purpose, according to the company. Currently, approximately $50 million in assets remain bridged on the network, with withdrawals continuing to be available.
