ZetaChain announced that the ZETA token will migrate to Solana as a native token on December 9, coinciding with the launch of privacy-focused AI application ZetaLabs, which will use ZETA as its core token. The second governance proposal is currently open for voting on ZetaHub and closes on November 7, outlining migration mechanics, timeline, and holder protections. If approved, ZetaChain L1 will cease operations around December 9, with ZETA migrating 1:1 to a Solana-native token and minting authority permanently revoked. Holders need not take any action before the migration. Approximately 55 million unallocated validator rewards will be burned monthly according to the original release schedule, eliminating inflation post-migration. Tokens allocated to investors and core contributors will fully unlock by January 1, 2027, with the foundation committing not to sell newly unlocked ZETA holdings throughout 2027.
