Zenrock's wrapped Zcash token, zenZEC, has achieved a trading volume of $15 million since its launch on the Solana blockchain on October 31st. The token combines Zcash's privacy features with Solana's speed, utilizing Zenrock's decentralized multi-party computation (MPC) network for enhanced security. ZenZEC maintains a 1:1 backing with native ZEC and distributes private keys across multiple nodes to prevent single points of failure. ZenZEC is currently boosting liquidity on Solana's decentralized exchange Orca and plans to expand to additional DeFi protocols, including support for token staking. This development marks the first on-chain DeFi experience for Zcash holders in seven years, as Zenrock continues to innovate with plans for a decentralized custody service and a wrapped Bitcoin token, zenBTC.
