Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that the Russia-Ukraine conflict is unlikely to conclude swiftly, highlighting the unique and extensive nature of the situation compared to other armed conflicts. Despite this, Zelenskyy noted that recent developments have created prerequisites for peace. He expressed openness to negotiations in any country, although he does not consider Budapest ideal for talks involving the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine. Zelenskyy is willing to engage in various forms of dialogue, including trilateral meetings or shuttle diplomacy, provided they involve key leaders. He also mentioned that Trump is cautious about escalating the conflict before engaging with Russia.
