The Zcash Foundation has announced the deployment of five new DNS seed nodes following the Electric Coin Company's cessation of its DNS seed node operations on January 8. These new nodes are strategically located in South Carolina and Oregon in the United States, and in Belgium, Germany, and Finland in Europe. This expansion brings the total number of seed nodes operated by the Zcash Foundation to six, enhancing node discovery and improving the performance of wallet and node startups.
The foundation is also exploring further deployments in additional regions to bolster coverage and reliability. Meanwhile, Shielded Labs is also working on deploying more seed nodes to support the network's infrastructure.
