The former core development team of Zcash has officially launched a new entity, the Zcash Open Development Lab (ZODL). Founder Josh Swihart announced that the Zashi wallet will be rebranded to Zodl in the next update, with no action required from users. This rebranding will not affect user funds, mnemonic phrases, or wallet functionality. The original development team will continue to maintain the wallet and promises further updates. The team departed from Electric Coin Company in January due to governance disagreements.
