The rollback reverses approximately one month of on-chain history to eliminate all illicit activity through a coordinated emergency upgrade. The core team confirmed that wallet payment key privacy and the consensus mechanism remained uncompromised during the exploit. Nodes, miners, stakers, and service providers must immediately adopt the emergency update to rejoin the network. Zano will publish compensation procedures for affected projects and release a full technical post-mortem detailing the vulnerability and code review findings.
