Zama, an open-source cryptography firm, is set to launch its Zama Protocol mainnet in January, alongside a pioneering onchain sealed-bid Dutch auction for its $ZAMA tokens. This auction will sell 10% of the token supply, utilizing Zama's Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) to maintain bid confidentiality while publicizing prices. The $ZAMA token will facilitate encrypted data processing and verification on public blockchains.
The mainnet will support applications such as confidential stablecoins, DeFi, and private tokenization, with partners like Deberrys, Zaiffer, and Orion Finance already developing use cases. Zama has secured over $150 million in funding and is valued at more than $1.2 billion, highlighting its significant impact in the cryptography and blockchain sectors.
