YZi Labs, formerly known as Binance Labs, has announced an investment in digital heritage platform Funes. The funding aims to support Funes in building the world's largest open 3D architectural model archive, utilizing AI and crowdsourced photogrammetry to preserve human civilization's relics and architectural forms. Currently, Funes has cataloged nearly 1,000 architectural models and plans to add over 1,000 new models annually, including temples, monasteries, and modern landmarks. The investment will enhance Funes' capabilities in 3D modeling collection, online interactive experiences, and AI integration, employing technologies such as 3D Gaussian Splatting, Radiance Fields, and large language models.
