Yi Lihua, founder of Liquid Capital, has likened shorting Ethereum (ETH) to Bill Gates' decision to short Tesla. In a recent statement, Yi highlighted the significant returns ETH has offered over the years, noting its rise from $1,400 to $4,900 as a more than threefold increase. Yi emphasized their bullish stance on ETH, having previously liquidated positions at $4,500, and now reinvesting around $3,000. Yi expressed confidence in ETH's potential for 2026, dismissing doubts and reaffirming commitment to the cryptocurrency's growth. He argued that shorting ETH is a misguided strategy, akin to Gates' controversial short on Tesla, and stressed the collective effort of ETH supporters to demonstrate the strength of the cryptocurrency.
