AfterQuery has completed a new funding round at a $3.2 billion valuation, just five months after closing a $30 million Series A in April at a $300 million valuation, according to TechCrunch. The latest round marks more than a 10-fold increase in the AI training data startup’s valuation. Y Combinator partner Gustaf Alströmer said the company reached unicorn status faster than any startup in YC history from founding. AfterQuery’s founders are 22 and 23 years old and joined YC’s Winter 2025 batch 18 months ago. In April, the company disclosed annualized revenue of $100 million and said its customers include Nvidia, Legora, and South Korean AI lab Motif Technologies. AfterQuery focuses on training models and agents to complete tasks like professionals, rather than only improving answer accuracy.
