XRP Ledger's on-chain transaction fees totaled less than $400 on Wednesday, with approximately 327 XRP burned, according to DeFiLlama data. Over the past week, XRP Ledger generated around $3,100 in transaction fee revenue, and $16,000 over the past month. In stark contrast, Bitcoin's transaction fees reached $183,000, Ethereum's exceeded $323,000, Solana's were about $358,000, and Tron's surpassed $1 million on the same day. Despite processing over a million transactions daily, XRP Ledger burns only about 10 XRP per day due to its low base fee of 0.00001 XRP per transaction, primarily aimed at preventing spam rather than compensating validators. The platform's daily fees have decreased by approximately 89% throughout 2025, with active addresses dropping by 80% in the first half of the year.
