Musk's xAI has rolled out China UnionPay and Alipay payment support for its Grok AI chatbot subscription service. The update, which had been in limited gray-release testing since Cursor was acquired by SpaceXAI, is now broadly available to users in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Because X shares the same payment infrastructure as Grok, users can also subscribe to X Premium via Alipay and receive a Grok Plus-level subscription. All new Grok subscribers currently qualify for a 50% discount on their first month. Additional payment options include Apple Pay and Google Pay, with bank account linking offering approximately $5 cash back.
