xAI has introduced its latest code model, grok-build-0.1, designed for agentic coding with a substantial 256k context window. This model supports multimodal inputs, including text and images, and is equipped with capabilities for tool invocation, structured output, and reasoning. Currently available in early access, grok-build-0.1 offers a base API pricing of $1 per 1M tokens for input and $2 per 1M tokens for output, with reduced costs for cached inputs. xAI has also enabled third-party authorization for individual Grok subscriptions, allowing users with SuperGrok or X Premium subscriptions to utilize their compute quotas through OAuth integration with open-source agents like Hermes Agent and OpenClaw.
