xAI has successfully closed an expanded Series E funding round, raising $20 billion, surpassing its initial target of $15 billion. The round saw participation from major investors including Valor Equity Partners, StepStone Group, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Qatar Investment Authority, MGX, and Baron Capital Group. Strategic investments were also made by NVIDIA and Cisco Investments. The funds will primarily be used to enhance computing infrastructure and related technological capabilities.
