This transition is described as one of the most significant changes in X's history. The new algorithm, codenamed "Phoenix," is built on a Transformer architecture and employs an end-to-end learning approach. Elon Musk had previously hinted at major updates to the AI recommendation system, including the open-sourcing of the code. The "Phoenix" algorithm is set to be released on GitHub simultaneously with its implementation on the platform.
