X Platform has announced a reduction in revenue share for aggregator accounts to 60% during the current creator payout cycle, with a further 20% cut planned for the next cycle. Nikita Bier, Head of Product at X, stated that the decision aims to address the issue of stolen reposts and clickbait content, which are overshadowing genuine creators and stifling new author growth. Moving forward, accounts that consistently post clickbait or misuse the "BREAKING" label will face permanent earnings deductions. While X will not limit speech or reach, it will not reward users for manipulating distribution or misleading behavior.
