The world's first bionic humanoid robot news anchors, named "Xinyan" and "Xinyu," were officially unveiled at the Forum on AI and Chinese Modernization during the Seventh World Media Summit. The robots were jointly developed by Xinhua News Agency and UBTECH, with renowned Chinese director Zhang Yimou serving as chief designer of their appearance.
Built at 1:1 human scale, the anchors feature custom designs for news broadcasting scenarios. They leverage Xinhua's AI current-affairs information intelligent agent "Xinhua Yudian" combined with UBTECH's proprietary full-chain technology spanning bionic skin, embodied intelligence hardware, operating systems, emotional large models, and complete-unit mass production manufacturing. Both robots are capable of appearing on camera and conducting live broadcasts.
