WORLD3 has submitted the ERC-8118 proposal to the Ethereum Foundation, aiming to establish a secure authorization mechanism for AI agents on blockchain. The proposed standard introduces features such as time-limited authorizations, transaction limits, and detailed permission controls, allowing users to revoke authorizations at any time. This addresses the risks of unlimited authorization while avoiding the inconvenience of one-time signatures.
ERC-8118 has been successfully tested on the WORLD3 platform, supporting over 1 million wallets and 5.7 million transactions. It has undergone peer review at the IEEE International Blockchain Conference and is compatible with all EVM-based blockchains. The proposal is currently open for public discussion on the Ethereum Magicians forum.
