Wintermute CEO Evgeny Gaevoy has outlined three potential futures for the cryptocurrency industry. He suggests that the industry could be absorbed by traditional finance, fully transition to decentralized finance (DeFi), or exist alongside traditional finance in a parallel economy. Gaevoy also noted that most of these paths could potentially "kill" the ideals of the Cypherpunk movement.
