Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, co-founders of the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange, have seen the value of their Bitcoin donations to a political fundraising group drop by nearly $5 million. The brothers transferred 1,884.547 Bitcoin to their super PAC, the Digital Freedom Fund, in August 2024, when Bitcoin was valued at approximately $114,000. However, the super PAC did not convert the Bitcoin to cash, and by December 31, Bitcoin's price had fallen to below $88,000, a 23% decrease, according to Federal Election Commission filings.
