The White House is reportedly close to finalizing an agreement with AI company Anthropic to allow the National Security Agency (NSA) and other U.S. intelligence agencies to utilize its advanced AI models for classified operations. This development comes despite previous concerns from the Pentagon, which had labeled Anthropic a "supply chain risk" due to disagreements over contract terms related to surveillance and autonomous weapons. In addition to the potential deal with Anthropic, the White House has approved a $9 billion funding request for Nvidia Blackwell chips. These chips are intended to bolster AI capabilities across various spy agencies, enhancing their technological infrastructure for intelligence operations.
