Tencent has initiated a phased rollout of its AI assistant, Xiao Wei, within the WeChat platform. Currently in limited internal testing, Xiao Wei is designed to operate native WeChat functions through text or voice commands, such as adjusting settings, sending messages, and making phone calls. The assistant utilizes a combination of Tencent-developed AI models and high-quality open-source models. The testing phase, described as 'gray-scale,' is being conducted across multiple systems, with eligibility determined by interface display.
