CertiK's 2025 Web3 Security Report reveals that losses from hacks, scams, and vulnerabilities reached approximately $3.35 billion, up from $2.446 billion in 2024. However, excluding a significant $1.447 billion incident involving Bybit, the overall scale of stolen funds was lower than the previous year, indicating fewer incidents but larger individual losses. The report highlights that supply chain attacks resulted in the highest financial losses, while phishing attacks were the most frequent. Ethereum remains the blockchain with the highest concentration of security incidents.
