Wall Street and major institutions are rapidly advancing the tokenization of U.S. stocks as crypto market liquidity weakens. This initiative aims to bridge the liquidity gap between crypto and traditional finance by offering 24/7 trading, lower investment barriers, and interoperability with DeFi. However, the process remains reliant on custodial and heavily regulated structures, facing challenges such as price detachment and high compliance costs. Despite these hurdles, the tokenization of U.S. stocks is seen as a slow-growing but promising path towards deeper integration of the crypto ecosystem with the traditional financial system.
