Volo, a liquid staking protocol on the Sui blockchain, has successfully recovered 90% of the $3.5 million stolen in a recent security breach. The attack, which occurred on April 22, targeted Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), Matrixdock Gold (XAUm), and Circle’s USDC from three vaults. Volo's swift response, aided by the Sui Foundation, involved freezing and redirecting funds, preventing further losses. The protocol has identified the attacker and contained the impact, with a net loss of approximately $200,000. Volo has assured users that they will be fully compensated from the existing Treasury balance. The team plans to release a comprehensive recovery plan to ensure no further user losses. Despite the breach, Volo's Total Value Locked (TVL) experienced only a modest decline, dropping from $15.83 million to $15.27 million.
