Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has publicly opposed the introduction of token voting in the governance of privacy coins. He expressed concerns that Zcash, a prominent privacy-focused cryptocurrency, should avoid falling into what he described as the "dark hand of token voting." Buterin criticized token voting for its numerous flaws, suggesting it could be even worse than Zcash's current governance model. He emphasized that privacy is particularly vulnerable to erosion under the logic of majority token holders.
