Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated that users are free to use Ethereum without aligning with his views on application forms, political stances, DeFi, privacy payments, or AI. He emphasized that Ethereum, as a decentralized protocol, should maintain permissionless and censorship-resistant attributes. However, this does not preclude individuals from making value judgments and publicly criticizing applications. Buterin highlighted that neutrality should be at the protocol level, while individuals and communities should clearly express their principles and build ecosystems aligned with their values, acknowledging that Ethereum will be used in various ways by different ideologies.
