Visa has launched six AI-driven tools aimed at reducing fraud and dispute costs for merchants, issuers, and acquirers. The new suite includes the Visa Dispute Resolution Network, Visa Dispute Recovery Manager, Order Insight, and Compelling Evidence 3.0, which help merchants resolve disputes earlier and prevent unnecessary ones. Issuers and acquirers benefit from Dispute Intelligence, Dispute Doc Analyzer, and Visa Dispute Case Manager, offering predictive guidance and streamlined workflows. The introduction of these tools comes as Visa processed 106 million disputes globally in 2025, marking a 35% increase since 2019. With global chargeback transactions projected to reach 324 million by 2028, the need for efficient dispute management is critical. Ecommerce-related chargeback costs were estimated at $33.8 billion in 2025, with projections of $42 billion by 2028, underscoring the financial impact on businesses.
