Visa CEO Ryan McInerney announced plans to support four additional stablecoins on its network, each operating on different blockchains and covering two fiat currencies. This expansion will allow conversion into over 25 traditional currencies within the Visa network. In the fourth quarter, spending with Visa cards linked to stablecoins increased fourfold year-over-year. Visa has processed over $140 billion in cryptocurrency and stablecoin flows, with more than $100 billion attributed to users purchasing crypto assets using Visa payments.
