VerifTools, a dark web marketplace notorious for selling counterfeit passports and driver's licenses, has resurfaced with a new domain following a shutdown by the FBI and Dutch police. The platform, which facilitated criminals in bypassing KYC checks and stealing millions in cryptocurrency, was taken offline in a coordinated law enforcement operation.
Despite the crackdown, the operators of VerifTools quickly relaunched the service under a new domain, continuing their illicit activities. The marketplace had previously offered fake identification documents for as little as $9, posing significant risks to financial systems and cryptocurrency exchanges.
