Venezuelan fintech leader Cashea has raised $100 million through two funding rounds to bolster its local credit offerings. The Series B round, led by FinSight Ventures, secured $60 million in June, while a $40 million Series A round in March was led by Spice Expeditions, including $20 million in debt from Architect Capital. The funding attracted participation from multiple U.S. endowments and Latin American investors.
Founded in 2022, Cashea provides "buy now, pay later" services to Venezuelan consumers, addressing long-standing credit access issues. The company has processed over 110 million transactions, serves more than 10 million accounts, and partners with 40,000 merchants. The new capital will be used to expand credit products and aid post-disaster reconstruction efforts.
