Uzbekistan's National Agency for Perspective Projects (NAPP) has issued the country's first cryptocurrency mining license to NexaGrid, a private company. The license, granted on January 19, 2026, marks a significant step in the country's digital asset sector. NexaGrid plans to deploy its mining equipment in the Romitan district of Bukhara region. The company was established in Tashkent in April 2025 with a registered capital of 600 million soums (approximately $50,000).
