During the same period, an Iranian cargo ship, four other cargo ships, an Omani passenger ferry, and the Russian yacht Nord also passed through the strait. The Nord departed Dubai on Friday, navigating south of Larak Island. This movement highlights the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for global oil shipments.
