The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) identified the network as transferring proceeds from fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine sales back to Mexico, utilizing U.S.-based cash couriers and digital currency addresses. Rodrigo Alarcon Palomares, a key figure in the network, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Colorado in April 2024 for allegedly laundering drug proceeds via cryptocurrency.
