The US International Trade Commission (ITC) has launched a Section 337 investigation into certain Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) devices and related products, citing potential patent infringements. The investigation, numbered 337-TA-1511, targets products exported to, imported into, and sold within the United States that allegedly infringe on US Patent Nos. 12,646,537 and 12,650,937. The ITC is considering issuing a limited exclusion order and a cease and desist order against the implicated parties. The investigation involves major companies including South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., and its US subsidiaries, Samsung Electronics America, Inc., and Samsung Semiconductor, Inc., as well as US-based Google LLC. The outcome could significantly impact the import and sale of these semiconductor products in the US market.
