The US government has initiated the "US Tech Force" program, a two-year initiative designed to recruit around 1,000 tech professionals in fields such as software engineering, AI, cybersecurity, and data analytics. This program aims to bolster federal agencies, including the Treasury Department and the Department of Defense, in advancing AI and other technological projects.
Nearly 30 technology companies, including Coinbase, Robinhood, OpenAI, Microsoft, and Nvidia, are collaborating on this effort. Participants in the program will receive annual salaries ranging from $150,000 to $200,000. Upon completion, they have the option to continue working within the government or transition to one of the partner companies.
