Meanwhile, the British pound rose to $1.3502, and the Japanese yen weakened to 155.78 per dollar. The Swiss franc and Swedish krona both saw slight declines against the dollar, while the Canadian dollar strengthened slightly to 1.3704 per U.S. dollar.
