The dollar strengthened against the Japanese yen, reaching 157.23 yen from 155.95 yen, and against the Swiss franc, rising to 0.7784 francs from 0.7679 francs. Additionally, the dollar appreciated against the Canadian dollar and Swedish krona, trading at 1.3673 Canadian dollars and 9.1347 kronor, respectively.
