The dollar strengthened against the Japanese yen, rising to 157.77 from 157.15, and against the Swiss franc, increasing to 0.7827 from 0.78. Additionally, the dollar appreciated against the Canadian dollar, reaching 1.3697 from 1.3669, and against the Swedish krona, climbing to 9.2657 from 9.1761.
