This contribution includes approximately $31 billion in labor income. The industry supports a total of 232,000 jobs when accounting for roles driven by supplier and practitioner spending. Direct employment in the crypto sector has surpassed traditional industries such as coffee and tea manufacturing and cement manufacturing. Key roles include software, blockchain, and data engineering, which account for 10,100 positions, followed by compliance and financial operations with 5,450 roles. California and New York lead in job support, with Texas, Washington state, and North Carolina also contributing significantly. Each direct crypto job supports about six additional jobs, highlighting the sector's growing economic impact.
