A U.S. federal court has ruled that a lawsuit against Nvidia and its CEO Jensen Huang, alleging concealment of GPU revenue related to cryptocurrency mining, can proceed as a class action. The case involves investors from August 10, 2017, to November 15, 2018, who claim Nvidia hid over $1 billion in crypto mining-related GPU sales by categorizing them under gaming revenue, affecting stock prices due to crypto market volatility. The court found Nvidia failed to prove that the disclosures had "no impact" on stock prices. The next court meeting is scheduled for April 21. Previously, the SEC fined Nvidia $5.5 million in 2022 for not disclosing the impact of crypto mining on its business.
