Urban Company Limited's share price surged 15.43% to ₹127.10 in early trading on Wednesday, following SBI Mutual Fund's acquisition of additional shares. The asset manager purchased 3.5 crore shares at ₹109.85 each and 2.25 crore shares at ₹109.83 each, totaling ₹632.21 crore, raising its stake to nearly 4%.
The block deal also involved ABG Capital, DF International Partners II, and Wellington Hadley Harbor AIV Master Investors (Cayman) III offloading their stakes. The transactions occurred after the end of a six-month lock-in period post-IPO. Urban Company, which offers home services, is positioned to capitalize on growth in the underpenetrated market.
