New York-based startup Uranium Digital has closed a $16.5 million Series A round led by Blockchain Capital, with participation from existing investors Portal Ventures and Apeiron Investment Group. The funding round, completed last month, will support expansion of the company's electronic trading platform for physical uranium.
Founded in 2024, Uranium Digital uses blockchain technology to track ownership of uranium held in storage facilities, enabling institutional buyers and sellers to trade via an electronic platform rather than through traditional broker quote requests, email contract signings, and offline warehouse deliveries. The company previously raised a $6.1 million seed round in 2025.
The raise comes as AI data center growth accelerates energy demand, drawing increased attention to nuclear power and the uranium fuel market.
