South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit has suspended deposit and withdrawal services following the theft of approximately 54 billion won (US$36.81 million) in Solana network-related assets. The incident occurred around 04:42 local time on November 27, 2025, when the assets were transferred to an unknown external wallet. Affected digital assets include SOL, USDC, and several others.
In response, Upbit has moved all assets to a secure cold wallet to prevent further unauthorized transfers. The exchange is also working with law enforcement and has initiated on-chain freezing attempts. A comprehensive security review of its deposit and withdrawal processes is currently underway to safeguard user assets.
